35 startersA change to the route this year. The race started at Foulstone Delph and finished at Back Tor.You had to touch the trig to finish. Most people seemed pleased not to have the knee knackering downhill thrash. Controls were the cabin in Gravy Clough and the summit of what I called Harmer's spur, which is apparently really called Berrisford Tor. It was a pleasant evening and was enjoyable to watch the finishers racing to and climbing Back Tor coming from all directions. One or two people climbed up the face of Back Tor which was a bit scary to watch. Everybody got back in one piece however and the evening in the Strines was enjoyed . Phil Winskill won the race for the third time. I think a handicap system might be in order next year.
