204 startersThe caution shown in the baking heat of Hayfield to wear a vest, was fully vindicated when the clouds and driving sleet rolled in on the top of Kinder. Several breaks in the cloud revealed what was Edale Valley (apparently!), still basking in sunshine. Good DPFR turn out for one of the classic local races, but with sufficient road at the end to annoy the 'purists'.AM
