Horrible, cold, wet and boggy conditions, sheeting rain coming down from Black Hill. Too many flags around for local knowledge to take advantage of this, at least the wind helped us along the returning leg of the Pennine Way. At the end there were more prizes than people, nothing but praise for the way this race is always put together. Special mentions for Mike, fit and running well, Helen as first Lady, and Dave Bollington – if you can cope with that, the rest is easy.
