A most pleasing turnout for this year?s Borrowdale, with many welcome new faces. Typical excellent efforts from Tim, Dave Taylor and Keith. Having encouragement along that wet, boggy plod to Esk Hause, drinks at the top of Gable and at Honister, tremendous. Perhaps this popularity could be extended to next year's Lakeland Classics series, all of them good events. The day was so hot, with the climb to Dale Head being desperately wobbly to some of us. The organisation coped well with large numbers and E.O.D. and only £4 for the race, extensive depth in prizes and superb refreshments - real value for money. - DT
