Unbelievably Al Ward was there - the shock was so great, he will escape disciplinary action for running in a brown vest on the road. A great race. I did it for the first time to compare it with Eyam. Never mind swanning around a Scottish Island taking 4, 5 or 6 hrs for 16 miles. This had some big hills to conquer on some treacherous gravel in an hour and a halfish.
