17 starters, Winter MondaysA gratifying seventeen runners enjoyed the scramble up Fair Brook, and most of them got the descent off Seal Stones just about right too. It was good to welcome Kev back - grumbling bitterly about the R.O. setting off before he’d arrive - and better still to discover, having set off five minutes later, that Kev had c*cked the descent up again for a second year running (albeit not quite so badly this time). Tim Ray and Peter Gorvett broke their Winter Monday’s ducks, whilst Tim Rutter took us all to the cleaners, putting paid to any bonuses at all - somewhat controversially, however, he both broke the ‘no dogs’ rule, and set off so early that he finished in the daylight. We’ll take that one under advisement from the brains’ trust over the next couple of weeks …
