Export resultAn excellent showing on a lovely late summer evening for the final race of the series and prize presentations. Fully seventeen runners chose a variety of different lines between the three key check points, with only a couple of total blowouts. A flying Walwyn junior ran clean through the field to claim an impressive first Summer Series victory to accompany his two Winter Monday successes last time around.
Beer, prizes, garlic graters and jam were had in the Strines Inn afterwards to celebrate a really well attended series, second only to lockdown year, and very likely the most series completers ever too. Many thanks to everyone who took part, particular congratulations to Tom S and Eloise, our open and women’s champion respectively (see final league standings), and keep an eye out for the calendar of Winter Monday races, starting Monday 28th September.
