A note on race categories here
Export resultAnother good turn-out on a considerably more pleasant evening than the Met had forecast. It was, upon reflection, perhaps unwise to have offered Tom S the carrot of his own previous record to beat - which he promptly achieved by more than a minute, putting paid to almost everybody else’s percentage bonus. Congratulations therefore to the youngest (Jack) and almost oldest (Keith) runners for being the sole recipients thereof - other than Tom himself. The tweaked start/finish point seemed to work well, with lots of satisfied runners at the finish.
We’ve another couple of weeks off now due to the intervening bank holiday and Trunce, so will reconvene on 8th June for the first of three new races - Simon Dixon’s Not the Crashout. Full details to follow on the site soon, but an early heads up that I’ve agreed with Simon it will be the individual runner’s choice whether they race the route clockwise, or anti-clockwise.
