With fourteen runners in attendance, this was the busiest road run of the series to date, including two newbies (Tom N moonlighting all the way from the big smoke).  Barry was so close to home that he ran past his own gateway on the shorter loop, and cut quite the dashing figure in the pub afterwards where he was greeted enthusiastically by a succession of Bolsterstone residents.  Meanwhile, it was another tale of two or three Savilles, with Tom once again putting paid to almost everyone else’s bonuses (Barry being one of just three exceptions), and Kerry winning the battle of the brothers again, whilst our Kev … well there must be a story there, but sadly he didn’t drop by the pub to share it.  Kev, Keith and the series organiser all ran their thirteenth race, making the league standings that little bit more tricky to calculate, especially given the new constraint that only four road races can contribute to your best twelve counters; so the more competitive amongst us may wish to check the organiser’s workings from time to time.  Whatever the truth, we’ve a week off next week, and will reconvene at Yorkshire Bridge for Parkin Trail in the new year.  You can also now view the running order for the rest of the series, including three new routes (details to follow).  Happy holidays everybody.
