The weather was very kind to us for the Bradfield Boundary revival run. 10 hardy souls congregated at the gates of Loxley Junior School at a very unsocial hour equipped for the 12 hours that lay ahead. This 25th anniversary of the original round had a very autumnal feel with a strong cold wind on the tops across the 1894 stone, nothing compared to the horizontal snowfall the weekend before, which could have been a different story entirely.
The rejuvenated schedule was fairly accurate but a fast start meant we were well up on time at Langsett Cafe and so opted for a very sociable sit-down breakfast butty and mugs of tea. Possibly a boundary first! (and last?)
After an arduous crossing of the moors to Fairholmes we were still about 30 minutes up on a 12 hour schedule. More tea was consumed but Adam and Kev decided to call it a day here. The remaining 8 kept pace to the finish arriving back at the school with half an hour in hand.
