14 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueKris Groom missed out the last CP and Tim Hawley, Graham Berry, David Lewis and myself did a variety of CPs !
Conditions were pretty horrendous, with temp hovering around 80F and bracken Amazonian, it knocked the edge of this worthy Olympic route. Several runners overshot the 3rd CP, even coming up from Blackden and the descent off the Holly tree was seriously bad. The records are out of reach with the vegetation and the new R,O Kris might give thought to an early season race in 2028. Also expect a winter Olympics as that worked well.
In 2012 6 runners over 60yrs were well inside 1:32 ,which reflects the conditions more than the prowess of those running that night!.
