A select group, or scattering of runners, challenged themselves on this tough Moorland race. At the wreck lights seemed to appear from all directions and just after the check point Neil, pursued by Callum, sped past. The toughest part is much later, not necessarily in route finding but in negotiating Hobson moss dike where the heather was vertical and the way to Emlin goes on for ever. Well done to Callum and Neil and Simon and Tom all going inside the hour. With only 3 "slow" Warts out I was wondering if the race has seen its days but enough stalwarts seem keen to tackle a route that has no easy check points or paths once the race gets going.
