Rivelin Landmarks

An exciting Dark Peak classic with the added complication of some logging operations ongoing on the north bank of lower Rivelin Dam, which were avoided by a bit of road running (Boo Hiss!).

The logging has thus far had no impact on Wyming Brook Knoll, and so it remains as the elusive crux of the landmarks race. I set off hard in an attempt to lose the competition before the knoll but due to miscalculation I ended up a tad off course. Unfortunately some believed I knew what I was doing (I often don’t) and so followed me. Complete chaos ensued with a hive of activity bushwhacking in the hunt for the knoll. 

After 1 hour 40 all had returned with stories of the great adventures they had experienced from the doorstep of the club hut. 

Tim set off a few minutes early, used his navigation skills, missed all the knoll comotion, and so finished very high up in a commendable time. chapeau!

However, it's a poor man that can't win his own race (despite not being entirely successful in navigating it).
