Crookstone Crashout on Sun 18th Dec 2022

24 starters, Dark Peak Races League

Thirty eight years ago there was mist and snow on Blackden, and once again wintery conditions but this time quite thick in the heather and at the trig. This didn’t stop young Tom bounding across the top and coming home a few minutes ahead of another Tom. Yet another Tom [W] took the over 60s holding off Holmes and Hawley. These 3 Toms will be the ROs next year in the classics I have organised since 1984. Pete G once again showed why he is a world champion finishing in just over 2 hours and well done Sarah and Penny who walked round in an excellent time !!

It was much appreciated by myself to receive a bottle of Champagne and a gift voucher recognising my machinations over 40 years in the club to rough you all up. Well done to Glen for going Direct from CP1 TO 2, I did it a month ago it was really tough and slower.
