20 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueOn a warm evening a small but classy field enjoyed ! a thrash around the bounds of Jaggers clough. In the 77th running of this classic outing it was fitting that a youthful 77 year old Graham should speed down the hill to lead the over 70’s home.
Tim Tett one of the original runners, back in 1984 led home a group of over 60s who broke the hour but a star performance by Oli who passed the early starters after the knoll, and he was chased home by next years R.O Tom.
Although a short but concentrated route there was plenty of route choice.
Tom has indicated the classic route will be on offer next summer but before that [December 18th] I will bow out with a corker. Original thoughts of climbing the Tower, after ascending the Knotts has given way to reason, as mutterings of death and serious injury prevailed. However be prepared for some big climbs.
