29 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueOn a very hot night 29 brave souls took to the hills. Neil was a comfortable winner and Pete, edging 70 soon, put down an excellent time. Dave Sykes took full advantage of his recent downhill racing to hurtle down the last descent.
But oh dear the race organiser led 4 other tired runners down an extra descent/climb insistent that CP3 was further down the hill, losing about 5 minutes, was it the wood pigeon's cooing at 4 am-the sweat in his eyes or confusion at running on paths from Druids stone to Madwoman – whatever the excuse it was a poor organiser who doesn't know where the checkpoints are.
