Martin and I opted for the 06.00 start so we could take our time and enjoy the day. The first Dark Peaker to pass us was Pete Hague who we saw near Keppel's Column. Kenny Turner passed us by Jamia Al Hudaa on Bawtry Road, also running well. Neil Drake was next by the railway lines around the 20 mile mark. We stopped for our annual chat with RRR regular John Vernon at tiffin time in Harthill.
As always, a great event organised by Rotherham Harriers and Athletics Club I heartily recommend, but as I have been saying this for 15 completions and still see only a handful of entries each year, I won't bother.
