Export resultWarts' Night Race on Wed 23rd Jan 2013
24 starters24 brave souls ventured out from Ringinglow last night, in spite of the snow. It was a lovely evening, not too cold, with fantastic views across the snowy landscape from Burbage Edge, and presumably Higger and Carls Wark. Despite this being my first go as race organiser, for this, or any race, everything seems to have gone off smoothly, I opted to have a trot out and take some pics of the runners on their way round, getting as far as burbage edge, to take in the spectacular views of headtorches snaking their way up to Higger Tor and back down the plummet. Pics hopefully to follow on photos page. To my knowledge everyone managed to find their way about okay, though I'm somewhat disappointed that no-one bothered to dig down into the snow and excavate the ruined wall at the top of the woods! Well done to John and Neil, getting round in a time of 1:15:40, a fine result! Less than 2 minutes separated the first 6 back. Thanks and well done to everyone for turning out. For the true stalwarts, refreshments were taken back at the sportsman, with much merriment taken at madam Kitchen's coat!
