92 starters, Local League
A pleasant warm evening amongst the unsettled weather saw the male record broken by 40 secs by Peter Hodkinson of Erewash valley to 30.28.
Even though Hope wakes race was on at the same time we still had 92 runners which is still above our usual attendance. Karl Webster struggled off with a huge chocolate cake prize which after being eaten should slow him down to give others a chance.
Thanks also to John and Ann Armistead for marshaling and Johns O'Reilly and Brownell for being the Lantern rouge and collecting route tape and markers.
Next year we'll probably run the race on the tues 25/6 so as not to clash.
