Three Tops

At very short notice(2 days) I decided to organise a race to fill a gap in the calendar.

The "3 Tops" is a classic in the making and deserves to be a regular in the DP Calendar.
Only 3 turned up in the end but still a classic as the route options are limitless, this showed as not one runner completed the course over Pike Low, Margery Hill and Outer Edge in the same order. I crossed paths with the Jims between Outer Edge and Margery Hill.

The youth of today must have stayed in bed as all the runners were vets and all won their respected categories, Jim Orrell was first vet 60, Jim Paxman was first vet 50 and Ian won the Vet 40. Tough, windy but clear conditions and very wet under foot, a few more runners would have made it better though....
Hot drinks served at the end to all competitors..:o)
