Hallam Chase on Tue 26th May 1987

Thanks to Mike Hayes, split times are available, which can be used to identify peoples strengths and weaknesses, e.g Malcolms ascent of Den Bank, over a minute quicker than Micah. His descent wasn't bad either and together they managed to give him a very fast time of 20.10, 2nd on the all-time list. I'm sure this would have been a new record had the course not been
lengthened since Trevor Wright's run in 1968. The ladies race was a bit of a disappointment to the
organiser as he was all set to introduce a ladies handicap (with the men?) if enough ladies had run. That may mark the end of the ladies race I'm afraid.
The first split is the time to the bridge, the second is the time from the bridge to Stannington and back, and the third from the bridge to the finish.
