A very strong, in depth, Men's turnout for the long British Championship race in the Trossachs. 14ml, 5000ft. Lots of brown vests lining up. After two days rain conditions were very heavy, but the weather stayed clear, just a couple of showers. A long forestry runout, then down a wet slithery slope into the boggy valley bottom. A steep climb out, then along to Stuc a chroin, and back much the same way, the slithery slope cramping up several of us.

Lloyd was 6th, Dave Taylor was 3rd V40, John Hunt 5th V40, Mike Egner 3rd V50, Steve Storey 4th V50 . The teams all in the points. Men were 3rd, behind a full strength Pudsey and Borrowdale. V40's second, behind Borrowdale, and the V50's first in the unofficial V50 Team grouping.Many thanks to all our travellers.
