134 starters, Local LeagueThe big freeze ended just in time for Dave Denton’s first race of the year at Shining Cliff Woods in the Amber Valley and a local dry spell left the course in good condition and not the mud bath most were expecting. The two-lap race is run on a mix of forest track, woodland paths and a section of flat metalled road (through a derelict factory).The uphills don’t last too long and the down hills are even shorter, plus there is always the hope of a negative split for your second lap!
