418 startersThe day was dry, hot and clear, so there was no trouble finding the lines across Wetherlam, a climb up Prison Band to Swirl How and across the flanks to Coniston Old Man. Then the fearsome descent! The best line seems to be direct through the quarries, if you know it. We scrabbled down a grassy, rocky slope further right. Our meagre team won the St Johns Ambulance visitors award : hope you recover quickly, Rob.
