A fine Dark Peak turnout for the '20th' anniversary of this classic fell race. This event has always been popular with Dark Peak with many of us going back year after year. As a result a number of us featured in the 'Jura fanatics' list displayed in the distillery cooperage this year. Well done to Roy Small our esteemed club chairman for completing his 10th Jura. Both Andy and John managed to get under 4 hours this year. Lynn also deserves a mention as she managed to knock over an hour off her previous time, a fine run. I on the other hand managed a 'personal worst' so will no doubt have to go back in 2004 for my 9th and improve matters.

Again the weather was kind with the rain holding off and just enough mist to make route finding challenging for both regulars and newcomers alike. The Dark Peak walking party on top of Beinn Shiantaidh provided the much needed support and encouragement.

A great weekend as always, some excellent island hospitality and some fine evenings in the Lounge bar of the Jura Hotel. Even the midges weren?t too bad this year.
