182 startersThere was a strong field for the first running of this very good race, visiting Birchen's, Curbar, Frogatt, Baslow and Gardom's Edges. Being longer than the usual midweek thrash there was more variety, with some awkward drops, a steep climb back up to Frogatt, some bogs, heather and tussocks to keep it as a fell course. Route details were clearly displayed at registration, so those who wandered can't be blaming any missing flags. The same spot in the Calendar next year? And dispense with flags - that would be interesting!
