Some you Win - Some you Lose on Wed 12th May 2004

36 startersAfter chatting with Gavin, we decided to alter the route this year as the old one was getting a bit tame. Gavin came up with a storming alternative and just left me to organise it as I was not running due to injury. A Family crisis meant I could not guarantee to be there, so Gavin sorted the job lot out. It went really well, only favourable comments were heard and we may refine the route further next year. The general idea was, start at Twitchell railway Bridge, all to Lose Hill, back to Townend turn let over River Noe, left up track towards Hope Cross then sharp right to a blob on the hill which I can't remember the name of (or find which is why I was not there Marshalling), drop to Ladybower and touch the water anywhere, up Winn Hill & back to the bridge via Twitchell farm. Just the job to warm the muscles up for Eyam ½ Marathon. Prize giving was in the Woodruff afterwards, but due to the Andy Harmer AGM complaint that "no fell races should make a profit from runners" there were no prizes.
