Another very good turnout for this double championship event. Unfortunately, illnesses meant that our Men’s Teams weren’t at full strength. The race coped well with the over large entry, it didn’t matter too much once we had left the starting field. The long, long runout to reach the hills, into a long grind up Robinson, and into the strong cold headwind. Round to Hindscarth, over Dale Head, and have the wind to help the return over High Spy, Maiden Moor to Cat Bells, and a shifting hurtling drop across the bracken.
