Start/Finish at finger post by junction of bridleway with access road to Upper Ashop Farm (SK14658901). You can choose to run the race in either direction.
CP1/4 Blackden Trig (SK12938780), CP2/3 Druid’s Stone (SK13448744), CP3/2 Nether Moor Cairn – with Simon D’s more recent addition (SK14748739), CP4/1 Gateway (SK15068799). Crow flies route on map (noting there are some rather precipitous drops into Jagger’s Clough for those taking more adventurous lines in from the south-west, so please take care).
Parking at Rowlee Bridge/Low Barn, taking care not to block farm/field access – car-sharing from Sheffield and/or Ashop Viaduct encouraged. We are likely to repair to the Yorkshire Bridge Inn afterwards.
Main start at 18:30; whippets’ start 18:45; special dispensations to set out earlier for the over 70s.
Map, compass and mobile phone are compulsory. It is recommended that you also carry full FRA kit. No dogs please (several routes cross areas with ground-nesting birds).
