Longshaw Sheepdog Trials Fell Race 2024 on Sat 31st Aug 2024
176 starters, Local LeagueA sunny bash round Longshaw and Burbage, 176 runners set off, most of whom finished.
Thanks to the incredible support of the marshals, the Longshaw Sheepdog Trials Association and the National Trust
Dark Peak managed 7 out of the top 10, a slightly worse showing than last year. Henry Webb took the win in 42:11 after leading out of the first gate and looking annoyingly comfortable the whole way round. Honourable mention goes in particular to Lloyd Clayburn who managed to miss the Carl Walk climb again for a second year running. Is loosing the flagged route twice in the same spot two years in a row in perfect conditions worthy of a Pertex nomination?
