What a strange day of weather, I picked Tim H up in the Loxley valley and the temperature recorded -1c, and thick clag, it looked like the compass would be needed but by the start line it was blue skies and all the fields on the North side of Kinder were frosty. Heading into the glaring sun only gave us a suggestion of what was to come, climbing out of Edale I was so hot it could have been summer.
All the category winners did well, ensuring that the battle for the Eric Mitchell trophy would be tight. In the end Oli retained the trophy but not far behind were Simon/Pete and Tim within 30 seconds of each other, with various allowances.
Good runs by Jane and Kirsty, and the small car carrying them, driven by Andy B with Simon and Mike on board, 1st prize in the car share!
