Bradwell Juniors

Bradwell Junior races was a great event, marshals and organisers turned out from Sheffield and the Hope valley in force to support this this national championship race. Third of four in this year’s championship. Thanks go to all the volunteers, but especially RO Greg Rimmer & course planner Richard Patton.

The courses were hard, with multiple steep climbs and a long fast and steep descent for most of the courses. The majority of the ground was sheep pasture, but there was a fast track section for the older runners too.

With racing being a rarity in the late 18 months, it was good to see so many runners turning out from Dark Peak. A lot on new recruits in there; and a first fell race for some. Great results all round!

Special congratulations go to Izzy-Mai for her first championship win! Beau also got her best result yet in the Championship. This first place and a rash of fourths from Beau, Euan & Ellen should propel Dark Peak up the team championship table.

Next up Ilam 12th September. Again, organised by Dark Peak members. So support it running and support it volunteering if you can.
