This race was shorter than many that have made up the TT series this year. But it packed in the quality. The initial climb on to the plateau gave choices about where to hit the edge. After that there were choices about which Hartshorn to visit and how to get there. It would appear that the majority went to the Harvey's Hartshorn. The minority that went to the OS Hartshorn included one of the fastest times of the week. So the decision was by no means a certainty. Then to steep drop into Grindsbrook that led to a number of options for the return. Up the major tributaries of the Grindsbrook catchment seemed to be the favoured route, but where to leave it and strike out for the north edge: there were probably as many variations as there were runners on that one. After tagging a rock at Fairbrook Naze, there was just the matter of the sweeping descent back to the bridge. Responses were very positive about the route. Maybe we'll see it back again.
