The day was great for the event but I made some errors with my organisation that I apologise for.
Not having marked checkpoints led to several competitors missing ones that they thought they had reached. I have deducted points where I know about this happening but I am sure that there were a lot more such incidents. Also the mass start lead to a mass finish and I could not cope with the rush so made mistakes. I have made up some of the results to fill the gaps. The time bonus for climbing Mothercap was a nightmare to administer but I don't think the order at the sharp end would be altered much.
If I use this format again then I will solve some of these problems if I can.
It was good to see 43 maps issued and good that so many came back for refreshments for which we must thank Marilyn who masterminded that side of things for us.
