79 starters, Local LeagueA select field of 79 battle hardened Fell Runners gathered in the drizzle outside the Beehive in Glossop. By the time we had huffed and puffed our way up past Wormstones to the Harry Hut Trig we were in the sunshine and treated to a fantastic descent through the heather past the grouse butts. Extra league points should go to Pete who finished with a nicely blooded knee but was bravely able to take on the Timmy Taylors Ale challenge. I realised after 500 meters that I was running way too fast and was properly knackered by the time we got to Harry Hut!
