Another venture over to the Cheshire grasslands for yet another fantastic race. The route reverted to the original start in the village, giving you the classic up (into a wall of wind, fog and rain), traverse in Lyme Park (into much the same), and a descent that strangely seemed to come down a lot more than we went up. A missing marshall and tape near the end, resulting in a lot of us wondering aimlessly round the beautiful Goyt Valley for a while providing much discussion in the splendid Swan Inn after the race. Had a lucky escape in the pub as I'd already had my beer quota, when they put a Barrel of Easy Rider on, and as they'd no rooms left at The Inn, a blast home to the strains of the Vaccines completed a great night.
