Pendle Cloughs on Sat 4th May 2013

68 starters, Carshare League

Carshare wasn't wrong about the quality of the running; a worthy alternative to the Tour, with plenty enough tussocks to keep the seven travelling brown shirts happy.  Fine runs (and nav) from Neil and Joe (though Carshare reports Joe's nav may have owed something to his nearest competitor).  Sadly David, together with four or five others in the top ten, went astray between CP4&5, as a result of which we just missed out by one place to Clayton in the team prize.  Another strong run from Greg, whilst I was just pleased to keep DT at bay.  Lewis and Steph should both be pleased with their runs; and whilst Steph and I took home the Carshare team prize on this occasion, it has to be noted that this wasn't the most carbon friendly of fixtures.  Ours was the only vehicle with more than one runner and, perhaps in the excitement of victory, we somehow managed to return via Preston.  Dark and dangerous in them there Lancastrian hills.  Oh, and if you ever visit Downham, the Gents in the village are a scream.
