I've just got back home from Chamonix having survived running the CCC in some fairly robust weather. Friday night was definitely a good one for Warts.
I saw Tim Martin running up to the finish looking as fresh as a daisy after his UTMB. He looked a bit surprised when I shouted 'Come on Dark Peak!' I didn't see Steve, as I was back in bed by the time he finished.
UTMB - Course shortened to 103.4 Km with 5862m, 2482 started, of whom 2125 finished.
CCC - Course shortened to 86.0 Km with 5998m, 1913 started, of whom 1584 finished.
This link gives an idea of the conditions on the shortened route; the organisers look to have made the right decision judging by this.
