Summer Series (12) on Mon 20th Aug 2012
22 startersThe last race of the series was Baker's Bike from the Strines pub on Monday 21st August. There were 22 runners (including Mr Harmer who ran earlier - looking for a bonus maybe?). Everyone looked to enjoy the course and Neil Northrop won in 50.15 thereby dashing most people's hopes of a bonus therefore most positions remained the same - link.
For the first time; thanks to Paul Elliot, I was able to award a trophy to the overall series winner Tom Saville, who also holds the record for most series points of 650. Keith achieved a bonus and thus moved up to 2nd place overall winning the coveted "Apple Cake".
There were 22 runners who completed 6 races needed to be eligible for the series. I had miscounted the cakes and only brought 14 so apologies (and an iou) to Clive Last who should have received one!! Thanks to everyone who has turned up and made it a very successful year.
