Old County Tops

Weather kinder than forecast, then the clag and more set in on the Coniston ridge, leading to a certain amount of unscheduled additional walkabout for Mark and me. John V was home only a few minutes after us, completing back to back Fellsman and OCT weekends - impressive stuff. Meanwhile, somewhat further up the field, Ben & Ash were evidently having a very fine run, Bob's running partner was experiencing periodic loss of sight and hearing over Scafell, and Ben G, in Greg's words, "face planted off Helvellyn, bashed his leg up before Scafell, and so we were very slow on the Coniston fells". No idea what happened to Jon M and partner, and completely failed to spot Paul J or family Batt at the end. One thing's for sure, though; the OCT never disappoints.
