126 startersA long way to travel but an interesting race that usually manages the occasional Dark peak attendance. With a course marked out to Andy Moore\'s standards and with so many marshals on the way handing out water and jelly babies that would shame the London Marathon it is well worth the trip. We arrived with full body cover, map, compass etc, only to find most of the rest of the field benefiting from a more accurate weather forecast and an apparent lack of any rules on the subject turning up in singlet and shorts. We were treated to a couple of traditional Scottish evenings camps on the shore of Loch Tay from our neighbours who arrived back from the pub at 2:00am and proceeded to turn the boom box up to max and finish off a few carry outs not once but both nights. Maybe we should have learnt the first night!
