146 startersA long race and a fitting companion to the other Lakeland events. Much easier to reach than some, being nearer the M6. From the start at the pub there are bogs and rough to a steep climb up Clough Head. Over the misted Dodds to Helvellyn; a swoop down Swirrel Edge to the mines with a long climb back over Hartside. Once again Mark Hayman delivered an excellent result when it counted in a championship race.
