25 startersThis was an excellent race and a new route. General opinion was very favourable, with a descent to Edale Youth Hostel, then a climb to Blackden Trig. Young Crowson had a good lead at the hostel but by the trig point both Tett and Harmer had significantly reduced this by taking a \"direct\" route, rather than back up the clough. In the bogs on top a revitalised Tim made the race his own, leading a disgruntled Phil frothing and ranting his failure to capitalise on the early effort.


The route can certainly take a few more outings, especially as there is little talent around these days to justify a blitz to the Trig and back, for record purposes.
