98 startersAt last a genuine fell race, and a good one. Starting from the Crowden hostel, over Lad's Leap, a big drop down left, and back up through Tintwhistle Quarries : just leaving the excellent final steep descent. Memories of the old Glossop Race of long ago. A class field of fell-runners representing a much wider range of northern clubs than is usual in the Peak, all glad to be back. What a shame that after all our moaning there was a low club turn-out : Are we too content with the Cricketers at Totley and village galas?
