Boxing Day Bogtrot on Wed 26th Dec 2001

36 startersA fine but very cold and clear day greeted a record turnout for this event. The course proved to be very runnable with times being better that expected. Rock carrying and mince pie eating did not slow the competitors as much as intended although the frozen ground did stop some from picking up the first rock they found. Strict marshalling ensured that Ken Jones' Cairn did grow considerably by the end of the race.
The post race bash was a well attended and jolly affair thanks to Marilyn and helpers. - RS
