This is a great race, one of the first midweek offerings and convenient for those of us on the western side of the peak. It has a true fell flavour, packing two vicious climbs and little in the way of flat running, although I did find the 'aroma of barbeque' distracting as we skirted Simmondley. The course was in perfect condition which led to some fast times and Dark Peak runners, despite a small turn out, came away with a good haul of booty.DS
