162 startersA slightly altered finish did not spoil this blast round Hayfield, although the finishing funnel on a really steep road could do with extending to accommodate Tom's stopping distance. A quick start was essential as overtaking was impossible for large parts of the course due to the presence of Tim Hawleys elbows. Paul had the priviledge of watching a classic 'father v son' race unfold. Kev was deprived of 3rd place due to a bad choice of racing rubber. The gut renching smells as we approached the cross over point of this figure of 8 course made several think that JF/MM had turned up late to race, but a dead sheep was later pinpointed as the cause. The winners prize was confiscated and drunk by several irate DPFR stalwarts. - AM
