Just edged out of first team prize by Salford who were 1st & 3rd. DPFR were even out numbered (but not out-run) by Dark Peak Wives AC. A memorable experience for anyone that's not done it - 430 runners start from a quarry for a race that's 6 miles of ankle deep peat bog in the shallow bits, with most runners ending up with vests indistinguishable from ours. The free bottle of Special Ale was a very pleasant momento - I wonder if we could get some Moonshine bottled for Burbage. Briefly stopped in my first Taylors pub on the way home - could have stopped all night, and the singsong in the DPFR Wives van on the way home completed a most enjoyable day.
