Upcoming events:
The Kinder Springs race, originally scheduled for this week (6th – 12th July) is POSTPONED due to bird nesting restrictions. This has now been replaced by Blackden Skyline. If the climb to Mad Woman’s Stones feels like hard work, rest assured that the effort will be amply rewarded by one of the best running descents in the Peak.
Until Thursday, 9th July – Tha Sprunce (Race 7 Route 2). Last week in Race 6, both course records were broken by Sally Fawcett (41:25) and Andy Heyes (29:47), who also ran away with the handicap. Several of the age category records were also lowered.
Past events:
The Alport TT’s from Birchin Clough attracted 34 starters and were won by Ralph Skrimshire (1:15:10) and Majka Kunika (1:23:54). Rosie Walwyn continues to lead the Women’s league, with Tom Pape leading the Men’s, closely pursued by Jack Foxall.
The Alport Watershed TT closes this evening.
