Stoney Middleton – results  168 runners, how this has changed over the years….

Bamford Results

Hathersage Hilly Triathlon – results. You’ll need to sift through these yourself, looks like Simon Patton and Thomas Webb were our first two finishers…

Shining Tor.- such an importance when people take the trouble to make a note of the results. This happened strongly over the weekend, and Matt has done the same here. Many travelling over to the Goyt.Lloyd first, the a host of brown vests. Out on DPFR results.

Gargrave BOFRA:-  this is the odd one out, being more of a fields cross country. Without the Sheldon stampeding cows, safely in the next field. I could have kept on plodding on the way home, back to Edale on the Pennine Way…

Grindleford any hope for the results?

Snowdon Horseshoe. We’ve all walked it, pottered over the Crib Goch ridge, but now Es has run it in 1.25.08, a new record.

Summer Series (8) – Broomhead Bash – next race is 27th July – “Way Out West” from the Westend Valley.

Holme Moss:- results. A most welcome first Ladies Team, – Janet, Nicky and Alice, and a matching first Men’s Team. The different start didn’t alter things much, but the finish completely altered the difficulty of the race. Now it’s a complete retrace from Holme Moss road crossing, and that rim path goes hard, lots of tiring little peaty steps, and the climb back out of Ramsden Clough goes very, very hard. And we still have along flattish run in. Worth remembering these race organisers, Russell said he’d been doing this since 1987…the least we runners can do is have a word or e-mail of thanks to any organiser. Very wet at times, heavy rain back from Laddow. Terrific organisation, loads of marshals, excellent food – they’re warming up for Long Championship status next year.
Should Black Hill now be renamed? Sloshing now past grass all around the trig point….and so grateful in bad wet for the paving up to the trig – originally it was a wide wet wilderness…

Great Hucklow: – “
A bit slippery and, maybe a bit longer, but still it appears, great fun. Stuart Bond stormed home by a long way on a day of showers and a few glimpses of sun. With the grass and bracken much taller and really muddy underfoot in places, it was never going to be easier. Most people enjoyed the changes of route, which came about through landowners’ requests, but maybe we should change it every year! The man who turned up late ran round somewhere with a map of the course but he was wet and happy when he got back. Thanks to all involved, especially sponsors Accelerate, Foundry Activities, The Old Barn and Tracklogs, and to the landowners – all 13 of them! I’ve a large size black fleece which was left under the results board.” – Pete. Results

The Magnificent 7, Saltash Cornwall, John Hunt was “Amazed I found a race where DPFR didn’t field a team, admittedly Cornwall for a pacey effort is bit far.  Still the DPFR flag was flying. Tarmac all the way but certainly undulates and I’ve done race in the FRA calendar with less climb I reckon. The organiser was kind enough to let me enter, when I found out at short notice I had to go down there for work. Results.  it’s good race if you like mixing it up at pace with your foot to floor balancing the oxygen debt. “
John was 5th, 40:47 mins.

Moel Siabod –   results  with Lloyd 1st, Gavin 5th.

Ingleborough. results with Craig 2nd and Matt 6th.

Oldfield Gala (up our way). More definite news awaited of a win for Matt Crane, beating Ian Holmes’ record…
